What’s new

What changed in ScoutHalo.

Improvements that are live in the product today, newest first. Only shipped changes appear here.

  • Library

    Projects are now Plans

A plan is one goal, a shortlist of real places and a decision: a dinner, a trip, an offsite or a shoot. A shoot is a production plan and keeps everything Projects had; plans you already made keep their tools.

  • Workspace

    A simpler workspace menu

The workspace now has four sections: Home, Discover (Scout and Experiences), Intelligence (Visual Intelligence) and Library (Saved, Collections and Plans — then called Projects).

  • Experiences

    Experiences on Home

Home’s “Where to start” includes Experiences: pick something to do, and Scout finds real places for it.

  • Account

    Reset your password

A dedicated page to choose a new password from a reset email. After the change, you’re signed out everywhere else.

  • Account

    More complete account deletion

Deleting your account now also erases your search history, your uploaded image copies and your other stored data.

  • Scout

    Calmer result cards

Cards lead with the name, the area, one reason it fits and up to three signals. “Strong fit” and “Worth exploring” appear only when a place earns them.

  • Scout

    Price limits and exclusions honoured

Scout reads the kind of place you asked for more accurately, checks limits like “under €100” against the price a listing shows, and respects what you exclude.

  • Website

    Use-case pages

New pages for going out, travel, work and study, experiences, and creators and production, plus a refreshed set of examples.

  • Visual Intelligence

Straight from a photo to results

“Find matching locations” opens Scout’s results directly, and Back returns you to the photo’s brief.

  • Visual Intelligence

    Clearer visual briefs

Briefs keep what’s read from the image apart from Scout’s unconfirmed inferences, and drop confidence percentages.

  • Visual Intelligence

    Consistent photo search

Uploading the same photo again reopens its existing brief, and different photos never share results.

  • Scout

    Better follow-up searches

Follow-ups like “with a view” or “not touristy”, and plural requests like “wine bars”, are understood correctly.

  • Experiences

    Experiences

A new place to start in Discover, with seven categories of things to do. Each opens Scout with a starting request for your area that you can edit before searching.

  • Library

    Save to…

Save a place to Saved, a Collection or a Plan in one step, and turn a Collection into a Plan.

  • Library

Collection links, and Scout keeps your results

Every collection has its own link, and going back to Scout returns you to your last results.

  • Scout

    An honest “Best overall”

“Best overall” appears only when the top result clearly leads on what you asked for.

  • Library

    Undo any unsave

Every unsave can be undone, and places you saved before signing in are no longer lost.

  • Workspace

    A Home that remembers you

Returning users see their recent searches, plans and saved places first. New users get a short introduction.

  • Scout

    Map and list work together

Hovering a card highlights its pin, the map preview shows the reason it fits and a Save button, and you can step through places with the map following.

  • Scout

    Split view on phones

On phones, results sit in a draggable sheet over the map.

  • Scout

    Refinements respect “exclude”

Follow-ups like “make it cheaper and exclude rooftops” now remove what you excluded.

  • Scout

Map view and “Search this area”

Switch results between a grid and a map — only places with verified coordinates get a pin — and search the area you’re looking at.
